GlobaLinks Learning Abroad
Custom Date Internships in Valencia, Spain

Internships are designed for an individual looking to learn new skills and gain practical knowledge in their field of study in order to facilitate career development. Our unpaid internships provide greater professional experience than many domestic opportunities because interns are exposed to a wider variety of job duties. Living in a foreign country immersed in a new culture even further strengthens your resume by providing you with skills such as adaptability, problem solving, independence, cross-cultural communication, and critical thinking. We custom build internships to meet participants' needs and bring our experience to ensure a great internship experience.

An international internship provides you with much more than just high-quality work experience. Unlike a domestic internship, you will gain global skills and have experiences that will truly set you apart from other graduates. Your internship experience will go beyond the workplace as you explore the local culture and truly immerse yourself in the day-to-day patterns of another country. The value of an international internship is best described as a "whole-person development" opportunity because of the growth you will experience both professionally and personally.

More than Just Placement

GlobaLinks Learning Abroad internships are not like other internship programs. Working with us means that you get much more than just a placement, as we are the only internship program that gives you the Global Career-Building Experience.

Application Deadline
A complete application must be received by our office at least four months prior to the intended start date.

About Custom Date Internships
Custom Date Internship placements are flexible opportunities for independent interns who are unable to participate in the 6-Week or 10-Week program for any one of the following reasons:Y
  • You do not meet the minimum eligibility requirements.
  • You cannot attend the program during the pre-set dates.
  • You need an internship of a duration other than 6 or 10 weeks.
Custom Date Internships are available in most every field of study. These one-of-a-kind placements can accommodate a variety of start and end dates and program lengths. In the required cover letter, you should detail the type of internship you are seeking and your desired start and end dates.

In general, it is possible to start a Custom Date Internship at any time. We will try to match up these dates as closely as possible, but we suggest that you have some flexibility. Program fees vary with the actual finalized program length. Because program dates are customized for each applicant, you will be participating individually and not as a group.  Therefore, we advise that this program is for a very independent person.  While we are always available if you experience any serious problems, it is important you prepare yourself to experience real world challenges and know that you will be apart from your usual surroundings.

Program Dates and Fees

Dates are flexible; you tell us when you want to start and when you want to finish.

Eligibility
Eligibility in the program depends largely on which location you would like to complete you internship.  Visa requirements differ in each country, so please contact our office for specific information
